Ever seen a star being born? Well, now you can. The latest images from the James Webb Space Telescope show a galaxy within the Virgo Constellation where hundreds of newly formed stars are emerging. Shot from 20 million light-years away, the images were captured by combining infrared shots from the telescope’s mid-infrared instrument with content caught from the device’s near-infrared camera sensors. NASA explained that while phenomenal, these photos mark a larger effort to capture as many images of star formation as possible. So buckle up, there’s a suite of baby stars to come.
