‘Tis the season to gather ‘round the fireplace or fire pit. And for those in ‘cozier’ quarters without festive and firey hearths, there are still plenty of smaller-scale indoor/portable options, thanks to a new “mini fire pit” product trend. It’s easy to incorporate seasonal ambiance with the tabletop fireplace ($150), six-inch tall s’mores roaster ($60) and compact personal fireplaces ($90). Devices in this category are typically fueled by isopropyl alcohol rather than wood or similar material, so there are no embers or ashes to clean up. The modern designs are stylish conversation pieces to supplement your home’s aesthetic: river rocks in stone bowls or concrete and copper create tasteful accessories that no one will question – besides perhaps asking, ‘is that… on fire?’ If you’re itching to start roasting s’mores or intent on #cabinvibes, no doubt you’ll find something lit.

Rolex’s Newest Watch Offers an Unbelievable Water Resistance

The new Deepsea Challenge ($26,000) diver can descend to 11,000 meters (36,090 feet) underwater – equal to the bottommost point in the Mariana Trench, which is, in turn, the deepest point in any of Earth’s oceans. While essentially unfathomable, that depth notably outdoes Rolex’s previous record – 10,916 meters (35,814 feet) – famously set in 1960 by its Deep Sea Special. That watch was strapped to the exterior of the Trieste submersible as it explored Challenger Deep – both survived the crushing pressure of “one tonne per square centimetre, nearly 1,000 times that at the surface.” The new Deepsea Challenge is also the first all-titanium watch from Rolex and features a patented Ringlock system. This, in addition to its helium escape valve, allows the watch to dive down to triple the depth of the brand’s original Deepsea model.
