Audi has announced it will make its Formula 1 debut in 2026. The news follows the company’s decision to close its LMDh program –– despite having secured more than a dozen wins at Le Mans –– but marks an exciting note for what’s to come. While its first F1 racer is still in development, Audi has released images showcasing the car in its signature red and black “Launch Livery.” The car features a halo device, multi-plane front and rear wheels and a full aero kit (including aero disc covers on the wheels) – but the company is yet to release any real performance specs. That said, we do know that the F1 racer will be powered by a hybrid powertrain that pairs a turbocharged 1.6-liter gas engine with a 544-horsepower electric motor.
