Over the years, Beams and Arc’teryx have come together to recreate Arc’teryx’s popular shells in a wide range of unique colorways. The creations often result in patchworked, immediately-covetable and prominently Arc’teryx-branded bags and jackets– and the Fall Winter 2022 collection is no exception. However, now, to celebrate their 25-year partnership, the two brands will release their exclusive collaboration worldwide for the very first time. Typically, tracking down a specific piece from any Beamx x Arc’teryx collection can be fairly difficult, as the collections typically only retail on the Beams website, where they quickly sell out. This year, fans can try their luck shopping the site or in-person at one of eleven Arc’teryx stores in the US, UK, Canada and China.

Urbanista Unveils Solar Powered Earbuds

Urbanista has revealed a new set of earbuds that feature a charging case equipped with Exeger’s Powerfoyle solar cell material. The earbuds have all the features we expect from this type of device – like active noise cancellation and a noise-reducing microphone – plus IPX4 water resistance and multipoint connectivity. On top of that, fans can charge the case with any indoor or outdoor light to power a total battery reserve of 32 hours (plus eight hours in the earbuds themselves). Entitled the “Phoenix Earbuds” and expected to retail for $149, users can sign up to get on the waitlist at the link below.

Norse Projects Unveils a Technical Jacket Made From Recycled Materials

Norse Projects recently launched its new Fall/Winter collection, which continued to build on the brand’s vision of “a full Nordic reinterpretation of classic Americana outdoor gear and culture.” There, one standout is the Otto Light Pertex jacket. Constructed from a technical fabric (Pertex Quantum), the jacket boasts a tightly woven structure that keeps it light yet windproof. The fabric is also 50 percent recycled and finished with a PFC-free DWR finish that helps the piece quickly shed light rain and snow. It’s also insulated with Thermore Ecodown, a lightweight, high-performance insulation made from 100 percent recycled fibers (sourced from PET bottles). As a result, every jacket insulated with Ecodown actively recycles up to 10 plastic bottles. Fans can bring home the jacket for $290 in black, concrete gray or navy.

Technically, Pendleton Whiskey is actually the official whiskey of both the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and Professional Bull Riders. Born in Pendleton, Oregon and named after one of the oldest and most prestigious rodeos in the West (the Pendleton Round-Up), the oak barrel-aged whiskey uses glacier-fed spring water from Mt. Hood and totes a smooth taste and rich, complex flavor. The brand boasts a varied lineup and offers everything from a 100 percent rye whiskey (entitled the “1910“) to its Directors’ Reserve, which is aged for 20 years. Its Original Pendleton Whiskey retails for just $30 and boasts notes of warm fall fruits and honey, balanced by a hint of spice.

Enjoy Nothing But Net With This Printed Insect Shield Hat

Bugs bite, but they don’t have to ruin your excursion. Snow Peak has released its Printed Insect Shield Hat equipped with a delicately printed, floating mesh layer designed to protect your neck and the sides of your face. The brand calls the piece a ‘versatile insect repellent bucket hat,’ which comes off as part trail gear and part festival wear. Designed with six crown panels, a wide brim and a drawcord to keep the fit fairly adjustable, this $100 hat would make an excellent gift for any budding gearhead.

Fox Taps Raven Knives to Update its Folding Mushroom Knife

Fox Knives partnered with Riccardo Gobbato of Raven Knives to revise its popular 408 mushroom knife. The team has named the resulting knife the “Spora.” Equipped with everything you’d expect from a typical mushroom knife –– like a curved blade, serrated spine and brush –– the Spora boasts a 2.5-inch hawkbill blade made from 12C27N stainless steel and designed for the practiced mushroom picker. The handle features 3D sculpted scales made from either olive or eucalyptus wood, yet the whole piece still weighs just 3.53 ounces.
