This weekend, Gear Patrol traveled to the United Kingdom to explore the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The celebration takes place on the 12,000-acre Goodwood Estate, and centers around the Hillclimb. There, cars from every era climb a long and winding road through the British countryside. New, cutting-edge models from everyone from Bentley to Ferrari took their turn racing up the hill to secure the fastest time; while 100+ year old models ambled up the path just to show off. Notably, the McMurtry Spéirling set a new Goodwood record by climbing the hill in just 39.08 seconds. Couldn’t get a ticket? Check out our favorite festival highlights in our Instagram stories. Today we’re looking at 3D printed protein bars, a fly fishing neckerchief and the 2023 F-150 Heritage Edition. This is Today in Gear.

Reimagine Open Air Camping

Snow Peak’s sprawling Zekka shelter was built to offer users a panoramic view of nature. The shelter hosts a mix of large windows and doors that can be rolled up to reveal a 360° view of your surroundings. It also features two rooms – an inner room and gathering space – and fans can easily add an additional Zekka Inner Room to create another sleeping space. Built to comfortably host six, the tent retails at $3,000.
