As we noted yesterday, Chevy’s newest Silverado EV is grabbing major attention from auto fans and buyers from across the spectrum, sitting as the brand’s first big entry the electric pickup wars (and overshadowing other upcoming Chevy EV options). While online hype is just that, it’s clear that the buzz surrounding the new Silverado wasn’t just empty words; according to GM CEO Mary Barra, the entire initial production run of the RST First Edition Silverado EVs sold out in 12 minutes. Lucky buyers should expect the truck sometime in fall 2023. While that’s undoubtedly frustrating for those who were hoping to hop into Chevy’s high-tech Silverado, it’s also a strong sign that the market is still pining for more EVs (and especially EV pickups). It’s now on Chevy — and other automakers — to find a way to satiate the high demand.

Technics’ EAH-A800 is coming out of the gate with all the premium features you’d expect — and then some. Boasting active noise cancellation (ANC), a 40mm driver for layered high quality sound, along with eight distinct mics for feedback reduction and overall call clarity. The most impressive stat however, has to be the battery life; the over-ear headphones can deliver 10 hours of listening on a 15 minute quick charge, peaking out at 50 hours of playback at full charge — even with ANC active.

Another “Dry January,” another non-alcoholic drink release… or so you think. Shacksbury, makers of top-tier cider, has released its “Mountain Tonic,” a non-alcoholic aperitif that’s crafted in collaboration with Savouré. Meant to be recall the herbaceous aromas of the forest, the tonic has notes of apple cider, black currants, marjoram, cinnamon leaf juniper berries, stinging nettle, spruce and honey. While you can use this in a mixed drink, we’d like to try this tonic straight up on its own over ice.

Chipolo releases smarter AirTag alternative for keeping track of your wallet.

There’s no question that Apple AirTags are the premiere gear tracker (at least as long as you’re bought into the Apple ecosystem) and benefit from their coin-sized shape. That said, that shape isn’t the best for the average rectangular wallet. Chipolo’s CARD Spot looks (as it sounds) like a credit card, providing “Find My” functionality in a size that actually fits organically within your wallet. With two years of battery life and IPX5 water resistance, we’ll be keeping an eye out for this when it hits next month.

G-Shock takes inspiration from the forest floor with latest GA2100.

While we love to celebrate the wider world of watches, there’s something about the simple, functional appeal of a G-Shock makes it one of our favorite labels to cover. The brand’s latest “Foggy Forest” series offers pine green and woody brown GA2100 models, featuring the silhouette’s noted 200 m water resistance, three year battery life and Carbon Core Guard case. As an alternative to cold colors of winter, these are a nice reprieve (with rugged G-Shock tech to boot).

Saturdays New York City drops new “All Terrain” activewear collection.

Saturdays NYC is taking things outside with its new “All Terrain” collection, combining high quality textiles (including Italian wool blends, as seen on the collection’s tees) with functionality that can handle the outdoors (like a packable rain- and wind-resistant anorak that is built with reflective bonded seams). For what it’s worth, we also like the reinterpretation of the “Slash” logo with a subtle multicolor pop.
