We know that theater chains are doing whatever they can to entice people back to the movies, but we didn’t expect the use of cryptocurrency to be on the list. Announced in August and reportedly put into action last week, AMC Theaters will now allow moviegoers to buy online tickets using a wide variety of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin. Given that a major hurdle to wider cryptocurrency acceptance is its inability to be used as seamlessly and widely as traditional currency (like, say, that US Dollar sitting in your bank account or folded in your wallet), its acceptance at nationwide chains like AMC make the concept of cryptocurrency that much more viable. On top of AMC’s new payment announcement, we’ve got details on Yema’s new neo-vintage watch Kickstarter, Snow Peak’s collaboration with Pendleton and Benchmade’s new Tengu Tool.
