Watches with record-breaking auction prices, a hotly anticipated Arc’teryx collaboration and Flyers’ new cannabis cocktails are the things to know this Monday.

We know that watches can get pricey, but these recent auction sales are setting records. At the ninth edition of Only Watch, a Patek Philippe Complicated Desk Clock took the top spot, selling for CHF 9.5 million (roughly $10.4 million). The other major watch sale featured the most expensive Omega watch of all time — a Speedmaster CK2915-1 — going for CHF 3,115,500 (roughly $3.4 million). While we love an eye-watering watch story as much as the next person, that doesn’t mean expensive auction results are the only thing that should be on your radar today. From the introduction of Flyers cannabis cocktails to the full reveal of Jil Sander’s and Arc’teryx’s hotly-anticipated collaboration collection, this is Today in Gear.

Introducing Flyers: NYC’s first-ever alcohol-free cannabis cocktail.

While many found themselves indulging in alcohol more than ever during a tense 2020, the team behind Flyers was using the pandemic as inspiration to create something that was hangover-proof. Flyers is an NYC-based cannabis cocktail label that’s crafted by mixologists and completely alcohol-free. With flavors including a yuzu-chili “Tokyo Marg” and vanilla-oak “BKLN Gold” (which tastes a bit like a whiskey-cola without the booze), these are highballs that should be on your radar.

DJI’s new drone is better than its predecessors in virtually every way.

dji mavic 3 drone DJI

DJI’s Mavic 3 sure looks like the cream of the crop. The foldable drone has about 45 minutes of uptime with increased capture abilities, thanks to the new 24mm Hasselblad prime lens and a 162mm telephoto lens. In concert with a large 4/3 CMOS sensor, it can shoot 20-megapixel stills and videos in 5.1K at 50fps or 4K at 120fps. With updated sensors, it doesn’t just have a better eye for photo and video, it’s also a better flyer too.

When it was announced back in 2020, the Fall/Winter 2021 edition of Jil Sander+ — a collab between Jil Sander and Arc’teryx — stood as one of the most anticipated drops in the gorpcore and fashion communities. Inspired by winter mountain sports and hiking outdoors, the collection includes various jackets, parkas, overalls and one-piece suits, tapping into tech fabrics like 3L Gore-Tex.

Shure releases first-ever truly wireless earbuds (this time, without the earhooks).

shure earbuds Shure

Shure spent the last 12 months stepping firmly into the wireless earbud category, but both bore earhooks — which, if we’re being honest, isn’t ideal when compared to the bigger names (cough… Apple) setting the industry standard. The Aonic Free ditches the earhooks and provides noise-cancellation thanks to foam buds and an angled shape. It even boasts an impressive seven hours of listening time, going up to 21 hours of charge including the case.
