Nisolo Alejandro Slip-Ons
There are just certain places that sandals can’t go. Weddings, bars and classy restaurants are not places to show your toes. But in the heat of the summer, you need lightweight footwear that won’t constrict your feet and make matters worse. This is where a woven slip-on comes in.
The Alejandro from Nisolo is not your average woven slip-on though. Made from a soft, vegetable-tanned leather, it sits atop a comfortable, partially lined footbed. It also features a leather sole and rubber heel cap for added durability. Nisolo employs shoemakers in a factory they own and operate in Peru, as well as several partner factories in Mexico. The producers are paid above fair trade wages and given access to health care, helping to create sustainable jobs in the footwear industry. So not only will your feet feel good when you wear these shoes, but so will your conscience.
