Anyway One MagSafe-to-USB-C Adapter
I miss the Apple’s old-school MagSafe adapter like I miss my childhood. Childhood seemed idyllic perhaps because I didn’t know better, but also because it was actually idyllic: no bills, no work, no existential dread. Same with the MagSafe: no face plants after tripping over a taut cord, no dread of toppling a potentially used-car-expensive laptop. Bring the magic back with this little guy — and charge more than just your laptop while you’re at it.

TIG-gear-patrol-BNY-Sole-Series-Wallabee-Boots

BNY Sole Series Wallabee Boots
Barneys New York teamed up with Clarks to whip up a special edition of the British footwear brand’s iconic and comfortable Wallabee boots. The silhouette remains unchanged, but the boot does feature a new upper made from Kudu antelope leather from tannery CF Stead, and uses natural oils in lieu of synthetic materials to enhance imperfections, making each pair a little unique.— Andrew Connor

TIG-gear-patrol-Neptune-Lens-lomography

Neptune Convertible Art Lens Set
Compact, lightweight and interchangable, the Neptune Convertible Art Lens System gives you all the best a prime lense has to offer and nearly none of the draw backs. Three interchangeable lenses — 35mm, 50mm and 80mm — give you incredible versitility in the field while maintaining image quality and perfromance, whether you’re shooting portaits, architecture or action shots with digital or film. And all for a fraction of what similar individual lenses would cost separately. — Bryan Campbell

TIG-gear-patrol-Datsun-Fairlady-1500

1964 Datsun Fairlady 1500 For Charity
Our Friends over at Bring a trailer are auctioning off a pristine 1964 Datsun Fairlady 1500. The beautifully maintained roadster has benefited from a meticulous refurbishing, tune-up and service. The best part is that 100% of the winning bid will be donated by the seller to World Central Kitchen to support Puerto Rican hurricane relief efforts. — Bryan Campbell

TIG-gear-patrol-Blink-Video-Doorbell-2

Blink Video Doorbell
Blink is best known for its smart security solutions such as indoor and outdoor cameras and sensors. Today, the company announced its first smart doorbell that’s designed to work with its other devices. It has mostly the same capabilities as other smart doorbells — 24/7 live video feed, HD recording, 2-way audio, night vision, IP65 waterproofing, programmable alarms — but the real kicker is price. It’s $99, which is substantially lower than the Nest Hello ($229) and Ring’s Video Doorbell ($179), but (the other kicker) you’ll need Blink’s Sync Module hub for it to work. You’ll be able to buy the hub and video doorbell for $129, which is still really reasonable. The Blink Video Doorbell will be available for pre-order soon. — Tucker Bowe

TIG-gear-patrol-Nio-ES8

Nio ES8
If you ever wished that the Tesla Model X was more of a proper SUV, listen up. Chinese outfit Nio released the all-electric ES8, which promises to be much more SUV-ish than the Model X. It features a 2-3-2 seating arrangement and a decididely Tesla-esque massive tablet control system on the dash. It also offers a host of different charging options as well as a range of 311 miles. It is launching in China in 2018, but fingers crossed that it comes stateside shortly after. — AJ Powell

TIG-gear-patrol-Soundskins-sonos-player

Soundskins for Sonos Speakers
Soundskins is a new product, funding now on Kickstarter, that aims to make your Sonos speakers more design friendly for interior spaces. They essentially act as a sock that is 3D knit to fit the exact shape of the Play:1, Play:3, Play:5, Playbar and Sub. According to Soundskins, the material is accoustically transparent which means that it won’t interfere with the sound quality of your speakers. — AJ Powell

TIG-gear-patrol-McIntosh-Speaker

McIntosh XRT2.1K Floor Standing Loudspeakers
I’ve you’ve ever looked at Bowers & Wilkins’s 805 D3 speakers and thought “those aren’t expernsive or futuristic enough”, McIntosh’s newest floor standing speakers are for you. On the front of the speakers, what looks like a grill is actually an array of 45 3/4″ tweeters. They also have a 2,000 watt power rating, six subwoofers and stand seven feet tall. Yes, seven feet tall. — AJ Powell

TIG-gear-patrol-Apple-Final-Cut-Pro

Final Cut Pro 10.4
The best video editing software available just got a little better — an update perfectly timed to coincide with Apple’s release of the new iMac Pro. The latest version includes 360 VR editing, advanced color grading, HDR video compatibility and much more. This year’s gift-unwrapping videos are gonna be sick. — Nick Caruso

TIG-gear-patrol-Morgandesign

Morgan EV3
Morgan’s electric-powered 3-Wheeler first debuted at the Geneva Motor Show way back in 2016, and now finally the car is confirmed to go on sale next year. The production version will feature a 21 kWh lithium-ion battery powering a 46.7-horsepower, liquid-cooled electric motor produced by Frazer-Nash, the company behind London’s all-electric taxi. Top Gear reports that makes the EV3 good for a 0 to 60mph time of around seven seconds, and the car should cost about £30,000 (a little over $40,000) when it goes on sale. — Andrew Connor

TIG-gear-patrol-Hard-Graft-Soft-Bags

Hard Graft Soft Seven Bags
No matter how much you fold and organize your clothes and gear in a suitcase, whenever you get to your destination it always ends up being some varying level of a mess. Hardgradft looks to end that travel chaos and neatly compartmentalize all of your stuff, neatly into different sized melange bags — taking Tidy to a new level. — Bryan Campbell

TIG-gear-patrol-Converse-Patta-Chuck-70

Converse X Patta X Deviation Chuck 70
Converse teamed up with Amsterdam-based design Patta and London club Deviation to create a collection of vintage-inspired apparel and sneakers. The highlight of the collection is their take on the classic Chuck 70 low top. In this guise, the traditionally canvas upper is swapped for navy Casentino wool and features a leather inner lining. The shoe will go on sale from Converse’s website tomorrow (December 21st). — Andrew Connor

TIG-gear-patrol-Civilization-VI

Civilization VI for iPad
In a surprise move, Civilization VI just launched on the iPad. For you non-nerds, it’s a beloved PC game that was awarded the title of Strategy Game of the Year by the video gaming industry’s equivalent of the Oscars. Apple’s claiming the iPad title offers the full experience of the PC version, which is a testament to just how powerful iPad’s have become. It’s also how it should be considering the iPad game will match the $59 price tag of its PC counterpart. The good news is that you can play the first 60 turns for free to get a feel for things and the game is on sale for just $30 until Jan 4, 2018. If you’ve been wondering how you’d fill your holiday gaming down time, here’s your answer.
