The Very Warm Vandal Bomber Jacket
Founded in New York, The Very Warm makes jackets and coats from fine materials that are more than mere outerwear — they’re artistic collaborations. For the brand’s latest release, the Vandal bomber jacket, it teamed up with Brooklyn collage artist Morgan Lappin, whose moody, patchwork cityscape adorns the lining within.
The rest of the jacket looks like it should make for a winter-beating jacket. The outer shell — available in either olive, burgundy, navy or black — is made from a durable and weather-resistant flight satin nylon that’s quilted and filled with insulating fine down. The zippers are made from heavy nickel and gunmetal, while heavy-duty ribbing on the collar, cuffs and waistband keep the jacket from losing heat.
The Vandal is available from The Very Warm right now, either online or at its pop-up shop at Odin New York in downtown Manhattan. At $315 it’s modestly priced for such a unique down bomber, but if you use the promo code GEAR20 you’ll score an extra 20% off.
