• That’s Not Grandpa. It’s Dad!: American men are becoming fathers later in life, according to new research conducted by Stanford University. The study analyzed 170 million births between 1972 to 2015, and found that the average age of a newborn’s father grew from 27.4 to 30.9. Still, the amount of new American fathers over the age of 50 (like George Clooney, who had twins at the ripe age of 56), remains at a measly 0.9 percent.
