Good morning. Chipotle, a fast food joint that specializes in face-sized burritos that fall apart in your hands, is once again in hot water: yesterday, several customers became “violently ill” after eating at a Chipotle in Sterling, Virginia. Chipotle’s bad luck streak began in 2015, when it had to close more than 2,000 restaurants following reports of widespread food poisoning; since then, Chipotle has been struggling to move on from the debacle. Maybe it’s time for us burritovores to move on from Chipotle.

• Here’s yesterday’s gear news in case you missed out.

Penclic is a Swedish brand that blends productivity with comfort. Their keyboards are ergonomic, sleek, and focused on quality design. The Mini K2 looks like a vintage take on your standard iMac keyboard, but helps reduce the pain associated with typing for long periods of time. – Jeremy Fischer, Editorial Intern

The Seca Jacket by Taylor Stitch

TIG-gear-patrol-ts-jacket

The Seca Jacket exemplifies American coolness. It is handmade with hand-stained steer hide in San Francsico, and designed with heavy inspiration from WWII-era fighter pilot jackets. The body is lined with virgin olive wool, the sleeves are lined with smooth satin, the stitching is reinforced, and on and on. As with most of Taylor Stitch’s new products, the Seca Jacket is currently in its crowdfunding phase, meaning those who purchase the jacket are simply backing the project; once the crowdfunding ends on August 13, the jackets will be produced and shipped.

Ataribox Game Console

Atari released some details and the first rendered photo of its upcoming gaming console, the Ataribox. Unlike the Nintendo NES and SNES Classic consoles, the Ataribox comes with a lot of ports (SD card, HDMI, four USB ports) so you’ll be able play classic games (like Pong or Space Invaders) as well as what Atari is calling “current gaming content.” (Will they be releasing new games?) Exact details on specs, pricing and release date are still unknown. – Tucker Bowe, Associate Staff Writer
