Good morning. You spent a lot of social capital on that profile pic — that epic photo of you “blowing over” the Leaning Tower of Pisa has gained you maybe 40 new friends (!) since last summer (!!) and a solidified personal brand but lost you a great deal of dignity. (Turns out neither Italians nor other tourists in Italy enjoy being aggressively shooed away so your wife can “get a clear shot.”) The last thing you want is for your hard-earned pic to be stolen by some stranger and used for…whatever. Well, you might be in luck: The Verge is reporting that Facebook is rolling out protections (only in India — so far) that will crack down on the copying and sharing of your most prized pic.
