Brown Safe Custom Watch Safes

TIG-gear-patrol-brown-safe

If you’re fortunate enough to need a watch safe, you likely pay close attention to craftsmanship and style. Brown Safe, a stalwart of the high-security business for 35 years, offers myriad options for the discerning customer, but the company’s Man Safe is intentionally engineered to keep your horological collection, well, safe. Choose solid plate steel or ballistic armor and as many features you need — like interior trim, biometric locks, fire protection and watch winders — and relax knowing your prized possessions are secured in an enviably beautiful home.

Sunspel x Cubitts Cavendish Sunglasses

TIG-gear-patrol-sunspel

It took a collaboration between a pair of British style brands to produce this modern take on classic 1960s Americana. The limited-edition Cavendish Sunglasses feature the same swooping lines and angles of the Wayfarer while making some meaningful departures — note the vertical temple insets. The frames are fitted with Zeiss optics and available in tortoise and black, shipping with a leather case made in England.

Pursue Professional Networking App

TIG-gear-patrol-pursue

In an era of constant connectivity, it’s a wonder that we’re still finding gaps where advancement can be made. Pursue has identified one of those divides and aims to bridge it. The free-to-download app connects high-growth companies with young professionals and freelancers to streamline task completion on any project, all through a simply designed interface.

Issey Miyake GT Chronograph

TIG-gear-patrol-miyake-gt

Watch and auto enthusiasts can find common ground in the new Issey Miyake GT Chronograph. The designer behind the watch, Kiyoyuki Ken Okuyama, drew on the restrained and purposeful automotive design that allowed grand tour vehicles to go far, fast. Okuyama’s portfolio includes past design work for General Motors, Porsche and Ferrari, so we’ll trust him to take on a project with a considerably smaller chassis.

Honda Miimo Robotic Lawn Mower

TIG-gear-patrol-honda-mimo

Remember when the Roomba came out? It was only a matter of time before someone took that idea and applied it to lawn mowing. Enter Miimo, Honda’s adorably named automated mower. Miimo has three programmable cutting modes and will get to work at whatever time you designate — no more hassling your teenager to get the chores done. The robot uses a boundary wire to define its cutting range and has a built-in theft-prevention system so your neighbor can’t borrow it while you’re out of town. Just imagine the amount of exercise your dog will get chasing this thing around.

DSPTCH Modern Utility Ruckpack

TIG-gear-patrol-dispatch

In designing an all-out function-driven pack for travel and everyday use, DSPTCH drew inspiration from standard-issue military rucksacks. The Ruckpack incorporates that same high function into a modern, pared-down profile that includes a separate laptop compartment, several pockets for small items and panel access to the main compartment. A high-density polyethylene-and-aluminum back support, Duraflex hardware and mil-spec webbing ensure that the whole package will take whatever you throw at it.

GLCO x Nick Wooster Harding Limited Edition Sunglasses

TIG-gear-patrol-g-leight

They feature a classic post-war Harding shape (a favorite of Wooster’s) and come in three colorways: black with yellow lenses, brown with blue lenses and green tortoise with green lenses.

Elk Travel Currency Converter App

TIG-gear-patrol-elk-converter

Currency conversion typically requires about the same amount of effort as simple math on a manual calculator. You select currencies, punch in numbers and hit enter. Elk does away with all that manual finger-tapping by first determining the proper currency based on your exact location and then displaying common value points in a scrolling list, making currency conversion much more intuitive.

Clear Coffee

TIG-gear-patrol-clear-coffee

The world’s first colorless coffee, concocted, presumably, by a bunch of strung-out mad scientists in an underground laboratory. But it’s actually quite natural: no preservatives, no sweeteners, no stabilizers or any other radioactive ingredient you’d find swirling around in the piss of an energy drink–guzzling trucker.

Vans ‘Freshness’ Pack

TIG-gear-patrol-vans

We’re still a ways off from the July 4, but hey — nothing wrong with getting a head start on party prep. Vans just released four new deliberately retro, unintentionally patriotic sneakers: two Sk8-Hi’s, one Old Skool and one Era, draped in red, white and blue.

Best Made Co. The Gerstner 25X Locking Drawer Case

TIG-gear-patrol-best-made

H. Gerstner & Sons is an 111-year-old, fourth-generation family-owned business known for making some of the world’s finest heirloom-quality tool chests. Made of American cherry, poplar, leather and brass hardware, the Gerstner 25X is a natural centerpiece on any shelf and can function as a reliquary for your most beloved keepsakes.

Horse Brand Carbon Steel Camping Knife with Leather Sheath

TIG-gear-patrol-horse-knife

From the Gear Patrol Store: The Carbon Steel Camping Knife is a do-everything tool worthy of any EDC kit. The blade is just three inches and will stand up to a range of tasks thanks to a subtle drop-point design and a sturdy full-tang construction that extends the length of the sea-glass handle. Hand stamped with the HORSE logo and “USA,” marking where it was manufactured. Each blade is brought up to a brilliant polish and is meticulously honed. Each knife is offered with an optional leather sheath hand stamped and made by master leather smith Will Lisak from ETWAS bags, a friend and neighbor to the brand. The sheaths are just as durable and beautiful as the blade, made out of thick-cut vegetable-tanned leather and hand stamped with the HORSE logo.

Ace Marks Handcrafted Dress Shoes

TIG-gear-patrol-ace-marks

The first Ace Marks Kickstarter campaign was the most funded shoe in the crowdfunding site’s history. And the new collection continues Ace Marks’ philosophy: luxury men’s shoes available for one-third of what they should retail for. If you own Ace Marks shoes already, return them to the company for $60 off your new order — and they’ll donate your gently used pair to Career Gear, which suits up guys who need some help getting back into the workforce. Just like the first round, this new collection features Italian calfskin leather shoes designed for stylish professional vibes and built, dyed and burnished by hand. The collection is already tipping a million bucks with time to spare, so get on it ASAP.

Spax Tactical Multitool

TIG-gear-patrol-axe

The worst thing about owning a pickaxe, hatchet and machete is that all together they take up so much room. Second worst thing is none of them can open a fire hydrant valve. Best thing about this powder-coated steel beast is that it’s all three of the former tools and includes a cut out to make the latter happen in a pinch. Never leave home without it.
