Good morning. What’s the best way to be your most focused, productive self at work? There are the old standbys: less multitasking, to-do lists and so on. But there’s also a ton of easy tricks that you might never have considered, were it not for this comprehensive guide by the New York Times.
For decades, North Sails has outfitted a worldwide fleet of sailboats with some of the finest, most cutting-edge sails ever designed. The company’s reign over the ocean has grown so influential, in fact, that the same advanced technology used in its sails is now being used to make round-the-world solar gliders and F1 racecars. North Sails’ new line of clothing is no less extraordinary. As you might expect, the Typhoon jacket is waterproof to the extreme: fully taped seams and waterproof zippers seal out the wet, and three-layer construction provides plenty of protection from rough seas. It’s oversized to act as a shell over whatever warm layers you need beneath. Like the company’s sails, the Typhoon is built for the unforgiving, unpredictable ocean.
As Baselworld 2017 begins, NOMOS revealed one of its new models: the Campus. Ostensibly aimed at graduates, the Campus is “accessibly priced,” with a starting price of $1,500. The watch features NOMOS’s Alpha caliber, an in-house, hand-wound movement. The watch comes in two sizes, 36mm and 38mm (for all you small watch fans) and both will come in at just over 8mm thick. All versions of the watch should be available in stores at the end of March. – Andrew Connor, Associate Staff Writer
Remember those moccasins Walter White wore in Breaking Bad? Here they are, reimagined in rich suede, atop a Clark’s crepe sole. The red ones are inspired by Heisenberg’s bloody death; the blues are inspired by Heisenberg’s ultra-pure blue meth. They are bold like Heisenberg, not lame like Walter White, the sad high school chemistry teacher. Available online beginning March 24.
