Good morning and happy Monday. Yesterday marked the last official day of spring — although, like you, we’ve been celebrating summer for a while now. Bocce Ball Set by Shinola

Croquet’s less pretentious Italian cousin just grew up. Shinola, the Detroit-based company known for turning the watch and bike (and other) worlds on their heads, has come out with a bocce set that’s, well, set to upgrade your summer evenings. They’re tournament-grade balls made from thermoset resin for optimal roundness, all fashioned in Shinola brand covers and housed in a matte black pinewood box.

Byline Notebooks by Field Notes

Time to dust off that old fedora with the “press” tag sticking out of the brim. At the request of CBS’s John Dickerson, the notebook pros at Field Notes created these reporters’ notebooks as their 31st limited release. Slightly thinner than traditional, similar notebooks (for good hand feel), these feature a wire binding and college-rule lines as well as a thicker back panel for an optimal writing surface.
