What do Walmart, Post Consumer Brands, sugary breakfast cereals, and rappers Snoop Dogg and Master P have in common? As of today, a lawsuit. Let us explain: In 2022, Snoop and Master P launched a packaged food company to add “diversity into the grocery stores industry.” After the rappers declined an offer by Post (Honey Bunches of Oats, et. al.) to buy Snoop Cereal, they instead entered into a manufacturing and distribution agreement — and this is where things went sideways. According to the lawsuit, Post conspired with Walmart to intentionally leave Snoop Cereals off shelves in an apparent act of retribution designed to snuff out the burgeoning breakfast brand.

Today we’re taking a look at a pink AeroPress, a tandem shower head and Seth Rogen’s coffee. This is Today in Gear.

In partnership with Cometeer, Rogen is offering up the Houseplant Box ($84), which is yet another innovative new way to take your morning coffee. In this case, it’s without a machine. You get 32 cups of perfectly brewed and flash frozen coffee in a tiny “puck.” Enjoy it a number of different ways: Pour it into 6-8 ounces of hot or cold water, and add whatever milks your heart desires. The box comes with both Ethiopian and Central American blends.

A Classic Coat

The BRUT Hook Coat ($364) is inspired by a 1970’s French sailing jacket and originally came out in 2022, but has been newly updated with fresh, nautical colors: olive green, beige, blue, red and yellow. The coat is made of 100 percent French cotton and features a water repellent fabric. The corduroy collar is soft against the neck and also offers a bit of flare. In addition to the snap closures it has three large hook closures (like the name suggests). All of the Hook Coats are hand sewn on vintage equipment in Paris.
