We’re suddenly finding ourselves a little extra jealous of Australians. The country’s Senate passed a bill last Thursday that gave workers the “right to disconnect.” The new legislation means that workers would have the right to ignore emails, calls and messages outside of work hours without fearing repercussions. No more blurry lines between work hours, or Slack messages begging for your attention during dinner. Americans can only look at all of this longingly from afar, as the country ranks far below Australia in terms of work-life balance.

Today we’re taking a look at Black Hole Cubes, new touring boots and a heart-shaped dish. This is Today in Gear.

Warby Parker’s Spring Collection

Looking at Warby Parker’s new Spring 2024 collection has the ability to make those with perfect vision wonder if we should get a pair of glasses to wear anyway. We’re loving the bold Lorena ($95) in translucent ‘Viridian’ blue and the round-framed Gladys ($95) in the dreamy terrazzo-like ‘Aventurine Tortoise.’ Shop the collection today.

Le Creuset Traditional Shallow Heart CocotteLe Creuset

A Heart Cocotte

Lean into the spirit of the season, why don’t ya? Pick up an enameled cast iron from Le Creuset but make it heart-shaped (and red or pink). The Traditional Shallow Heart Cocotte ($165) offers everything you love about cooking casseroles or breads in a Le Creuset dish, but adds a little bit of pizazz. The cocotte is dishwasher safe and can withstand temps of up to 500 degrees.

Patagonia Black Hole® Cube 3LPatagonia

Recycled Black Holes

Duffels, packs and cubes that is! Patagonia’s Black Hole collection is now made from recycled TPU, which is another great reason to love it. In an effort to stay organized on upcoming trips, we’re lusting over the Black Hole Cube in 3L ($39), 6L ($49) and 14L ($65). The brand calls the 14L a “mini gear closet” and we don’t disagree. A clamshell design and zippered dividers help keep everything in its place. Shop the entire Black Hole collection today.

TRUFF WHITE HOT SAUCETRUFF

Spice it Up

There are many different ways to spice up your life, but we’re inclined to believe that finding your favorite hot sauce and then putting it on absolutely everything is a great method. Try the Truff White Hot Sauce ($35) for the perfect umami flavor supplied by ripe red chili peppers infused with white truffle and agave nectar. While hot sauce has no boundaries, the company recommends putting it on Mac n’ cheese, roasted vegetables or fried chicken.

Dynafit RIDGE PRO BOOTDynafit

A New Dynafit Boot

The new Ridge Pro Boot from Dynafit ($900) is changing the game for backcountry skiers. It was designed to do the thing that everyone wants in a touring boot: be super light and flexible on the uphill, but capable of ripping on the down. The Ridge Pro features a 70-degree cuff rotation, a 101mm last, 120 flex and weighs 1,250 grams.
