Over the weekend, Japan became the fifth country to land on the moon. The craft, called the ‘Smart Lander for Investigating Moon,’ aka SLIM, was aiming for precision as it touched down on the lunar planet. The mission’s top priority was to land within 300 feet of its planned target, but officials are still determining whether it achieved its goal. According to the Associated Press, Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida called the moon landing “delightful news.”
