Apple recently released some real pro tips for iPhone users. First, the tech brand says not to put your phone in rice if it gets wet since there’s a risk of rice getting where it shouldn’t and creating an even worse problem. Instead, you’re supposed to tap your phone against your hand to shake the water out with the connector opening facing down to let moisture out. The brand also said that closing your open apps doesn’t actually help your battery life. In fact, going through and closing them out could actually use more battery than it saves. How are we just now learning all this? We recently talked to an expert and learned more about the best ways to charge your phone and better habits to take care of its battery (like not letting your phone die — oops). Check out it out here.
Today we’re taking a look at a wearable sleeping bag, new running shoes and a slick carabiner. This is Today in Gear.

New Outerknown Arrivals
Just launched: Outerknown dropped new arrivals for spring, and we’re already imagining our outfits for spring road trips. We’re loving the classic Chroma Blanket Shirt ($168) — a thick flannel in a bright, clean white. Pair it with the Field Short ($118), organic cotton utility shorts sporting large front pockets and an internal waistband with a drawcord to adjust the fit.
