Anyone whose been following Gear Patrol for sometime should know by now that we’re all about helping our fellow man. So when one of our long time readers asked for our help in raising money for the The Leukemia Society, it was a no brainer.

Well, friends, we’ve finally succumbed to the pressure and the guilt (read: Ben and myself threatening Eric to succumb to social media). To date, we’ve relied primarily on word of mouth which continues to part of our mantra, but we’re looking to spread the GP word in a bigger way.

We’re amidst some sprucing-up here at Gear Patrol. If you notice the site acting a little funky or wonky, just hit CTRL+F5 (Shift+Command+R on Macs) and things should be copacetic.

It’s a rainy day here in New York today, perhaps fitting of the date: 9/11. The clouds are unleashing a veritable torrent and one can’t help but think of why.

The sixth month of 2009 proved to be a rainy one in New York, but that hardly put a damper on progress here at Gear Patrol; June turned out to be our best month, ever. Normally, I’d be writing the crew now, thanking them for their efforts, but it’s not only them I have to thank, but you – the Gear Patrol community.
