At Gear Patrol, our goal as writers and editors is to help you make informed decisions about the products you buy — and who you buy them from. And today, that mission extends beyond recommendations of notable whiskeys or watches or smartphones.
In light of recent events, including the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery, we are committed to using our platform to highlight brands and retailers who have spoken out against systemic racism and align with Gear Patrol’s mission and values.
The list below is a work in progress. If you are part of a brand or retailer that has recently spoken out, let us know through this form.

“To our Black brothers and sisters:
We see you, we love you, and we acknowledge your inherent worth and human dignity. The week’s events have us reeling, but truth be told it pains us each and every time the news reports about yet another state-sanctioned killing by law enforcement, the very people that have been designated to protect and serve. This abuse is unacceptable and unequivocally evil, and yet has been a stain upon our nation since its inception. Violence is the American way, and we uncategorically denounce it as abhorrent.
We’re taking this time to organize and plan for how to best show up for you. But we also want — and need — to hear from you. If there are organizations that you personally have experience with, or efforts to get involved with that you personally back, please share them with us. Let us know how you want to see us, as a brand, uplift Black men and women. And we will work hard — both personally and professionally — to help restore the dignity that you so deserve.”
