    Tested: Newton BOCO AT

Founded in 1996 to develop footwear technologies for Nike, Adidas and Saucony, Boulder-based Newton Running now (according to its CEO, Jerry Lee) supplies shoes for one in every four triathletes. Tasting Notes: L’Artisan Cognac

Evan Yurman, Chief Design Director of his father’s jewelry empire, and Nicolas Palazzi, owner of PM Spirits, recently combined their passions to form L’Artisan. In case you didn’t guess from the name, the Triple Wood matures in three different types of cask: American Oak, ex-Bourbon Barrels, 19th Century style Quarter Casks, and European Oak Butts, previously used to hold Oloroso Sherry.

Breakdown: iPad Air and iPad Mini 2

The original iPad’s unveiling generated a buzz world-over, and for good reason: it looked like something out of the Jetsons, and brought to life Steve Jobs’ dream of a portable, easy-to-use device that allowed users to connect to the Internet, play games, and consume media. Although some didn’t see the value (as Tim Cook gleefully pointed out in yesterday’s Apple Keynote), it was undoubtedly a commercial success.

    Running on Juice

This summer, curious about the benefits of an 80% raw fruit diet, we joined a gathering of Fruitarians in upstate New York at the Woodstock Fruit Festival.
