Triangle is a French hi-fi manufacturer with a history dating back to the 1980s. For years, its line of Borea loudspeakers has been known for its standout design and exceptional audio quality while also being excellent value.
To date, Triangle has offered two bookshelf speakers in its entry-level Borea line, the Borea BR02 ($389) and Borea BR03 ($459). But now it’s added a third option to the mix, which promises an even bigger sound while still being relatively affordable.
Triangle Borea BR04

Borrowed design, tech
Triangle’s Borea BR04 is essentially a bigger and better version of the brand’s existing Borea BR03. The two passive bookshelf speakers have a two-way design with the same 1-inch silk dome tweeter and 6-inch cellulose mid-woofer.
But there is a definite size difference. The two speakers are similar in width and depth, but each Borea BR04 stands almost two inches taller and weighs nearly five pounds more than their Borea BR03 counterpart.
