Miniot is a small Dutch audio company that specializes in a vertical turntable called the Wheel. Like other vertical turntables, the Wheel spins the record vertically, rather than horizontally, and thus is more visually striking than a traditional turntable.
The first-generation Wheel launched as a Kickstarter in 2017 (and, admittedly, had a lot of production issues). Then, in 2022, Miniot launched a second-generation Wheel that had a more streamlined design.
Now, the company has released a third-generation Wheel. It’s “more than just the finest Wheel ever made,” reads Miniot’s blog post. “It’s the definitive record player.”

With the Wheel 3, Miniot has managed to significantly slim down the design while also upgrading it with new technologies to enhance its vinyl playback capabilities.
Like the company’s previous Wheels, the Wheel 3 is a vertical turntable that plays records upright. This design allows you to stand the record player vertically on a surface or even hang it on the wall. You can also lay it down flat (although that kind of defeats the purpose of a vertical turntable).
