This past summer, Marantz revealed its new flagship “Series 10” range of hi-fi components. It consisted of three products: the Model 10 integrated amplifier, the SACD 10 SACD/CD player and the Link 10n network audio player.
Of the three, the Model 10 was the obvious standout. The audiophile-grade integrated amplifier — one of the most popular components in modern hi-fi — was priced at an eye-watering $15,000. It was also the only one with a definite price tag and release date.
Fast-forward two months, and both the SACD/CD player and network audio player are available for order now. While undoubtedly more niche than the Model 10 integrated amp, both components promise high-end sound and boast similar stunning looks.

Wait, what’s a network player?
A network audio player — or network streamer — connects to your home’s Wi-Fi (or Ethernet) and adds wireless streaming capabilities and the ability to play digital files on your existing hi-fi setup.
Naturally, the Marantz Link 10n is positioned as a superior network audio player than most. It’s gorgeous — thanks to a triple-layer aluminum chassis and sizable high-resolution display — and supports high-resolution audio (up to 32-bit/384kHz). And it’s compatible with most major streaming technologies and services.
