Transparent Brutalist SpeakerTransparent

Transparent Brutalist Speaker

This wireless speaker by Transparent, a Swedish hi-fi company known for its high-end design-focused audio products, isn’t transparent at all. The Brutalist Speaker is carved out of 70 percent recycled aluminum and looks like an abstract piece of art. It also stands nearly two feet tall and weighs over 23 pounds, has three drivers (two three-inch tweeters and one 6.5-inch woofer) and supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi streaming.
Nocs

Nocs Monolith x Aluminum Speaker

Swedish audio brand Nocs’ upcoming wireless speaker looks like a modern-day successor to Dieter Rams’ Braun audio line. This all-metal version of the brand’s 2023 reddot design award-winning Monolith speaker is CNC-machined from a single block of aluminum. It supports Bluetooth 5.0, Spotify Connect, and Tidal Connect for wireless streaming. It also features a replaceable 5,000 mAh battery that is good for 15+ hours of music playback and recharges via USB-C. Up to 8 Monoliths can also be linked together for whole home audio. A silver and matte black option is now available for pre-order with expected ship times sometime this fall.
Apple

Apple HomePod mini Midnight

Someone will write a design dissertation about the many hues of black Apple has created over the years. For now, though, the current default, a.k.a midnight, has finally made its way to HomePod mini. Honestly, it’s pretty hard to tell the difference between this shade and the previous space grey edition. But maybe it’s more apparent in person. According to The Verge, the new midnight edition is also made from 100% recycled mesh, compared to 90% in the past.
Ultimate EarsUltimate Ears

Ultimate Ears Everboom

The Ultimate Ears Everboom is the company’s brand-new 360-degree portable Bluetooth speaker. It’s a smaller version of the Epicboom that was released last year. It’s super durable (IP67) and comes with a carabiner — it’s designed as the ideal portable speaker for hiking and camping.
Kanto Ora 4 speakersKanto

Kanto Ora 4

The Kanto Ora 4 are the Canadian audio company’s new powered desktop speakers — they’re essentially slightly bigger versions of its acclaimed Oras. They work exactly the same, connecting to your computer via USB-C and also supporting built-in Bluetooth (for streaming from your smartphone), but have a larger woofer, more power output and cost $50 more. Announced at CES 2024, they’ve finally available now.
