Earlier this fall, Bang & Olufsen released the Beoplay H100, a pair of gorgeous noise-canceling headphones that cost $1,549 and feature drivers that “draw inspiration” from its $150,000 Beolab 90 loudspeakers.

Now, the famed Danish hi-fi company is releasing new noise-canceling wireless earbuds, the Beoplay Eleven, that take after its Beoplay H100 luxurious noise-canceling … but not in the way you might think.

A “timeless” design

According to the brand, the Beoplay Eleven’s design — not the driver technology — is what’s inspired by the Beoplay H100. It utilizes similar high-quality materials, such as polished aluminum and glass, and colors “inspired by fine jewelry to create a timeless design.”

Aside from the new colors, B&O’s Beoplay Eleven look nearly identical to their predecessors, the 2022-released Beoplay EX. Both wireless earbuds have a stem-like design (similar to the original AirPods) and swappable silicone tips to help you get the perfect fit.

If you’re looking for a high-end AirPod Pro alternative, these Beoplay Eleven wireless earbuds promise to fit quite similarly.

An all-around upgrade

That said, the Beoplay Eleven wireless earbuds promise to be a considerable upgrade over B&O’s Beoplay EX. According to the brand, they have twice as powerful active noise-cancellation that creates “the best ANC technology in an earbud to date.”

Each earbud features an upgraded array of six microphones, which should vastly improve its transparency mode and voice clarity for calls. There’s a new “Wind Guard” feature (which you turn on in the app) that filters out wind noise but allows you to hear other outside noises, such as traffic sounds and alarms.

As far as other features, the earbuds have a decent eight-hour battery life; the charging case — which supports wireless charging — can add up to 20 additional hours (depending if ANC is on or off). The earbuds are IP57 rated, which is slightly higher than AirPods Pro 2 (IP54), and should be water- and sweat-resistant enough to work with.

Price and availability

Of course, given these are B&O wireless earbuds, they’re naturally on the pricier side. The Beoplay Eleven cost $499 — a $100 increase over their Beoplay EX predecessors (which normally cost $399, but are discounted to $279 right now for Black Friday).

B&O’s Beoplay Eleven come in two different finishes: natural aluminum or copper. The aluminum models are available to order now, while the copper models are expected by the “end of December.”
