The Merecedes Benz G-Wagon LAPV 6.X and the Icon CJ3B definitely have off-roading capabilities in spades, but they certainly don’t have a Loftop with 9 feet of interior stand up height, a queen-size bed, a 25 gallon fresh water capacity, a toilet, shower, sink, cooking facilities, and a solar-powered fridge. In case you were wondering though, the Earth Roamer XV-JP ($110,000) does.
Based on the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited 4WD, it’s designed to be used a garageable daily driver during the week (as it’s the same length and width as the stock Wrangler) that can transform into the ultimate two person camper for the weekends. Worried about a lack of muck-owning chops? You shouldn’t be. After all the vehicle still features electric front and rear locking Dana 44 differentials, a two-speed transfer case with 4:1 crawl ratio, heavy-duty coil-springs with gas monotube shocks, off-road bumpers, four PIAA HID lights, skid plates and mud terrains. In case you get stuck, a Warn 900 RC winch is integrated into the front bumper and an under-hood engine driven 8CFM air compressor is also on board should your tires need air or have to run power tools. Yup it’s badass personified, which you would be too if we caught you pulling up to the office in one. Soak it all in via the gallery below.
