Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec’s works have taken over the halls of MoMA, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the Centre Pompidou Metz, and many other homes for fine art. As such, the pair seem like an unlikely match to partner with the Korean electronics giant Samsung, but the collaboration produced a TV that owes more to design than technology.

The striking piece earns its name because its side profile is the letter I in serif font. It’s a 40-inch set with 4K UHD resolution, and the intentional design is obvious, with features like a removable felt pad that covers the back, and a frame that acts as a shelf.
