IWC Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Chronograph

The bezel on IWC’s new traveler’s chronograph is a world first — and a godsend to frequent fliers.

While IWC downsized and simplified the new Mark XVIII Pilot’s Watch at SIHH this year, their other big announcement is anything but understated. There’s a lot going on with IWC Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Chronograph. The movement displays both the chronograph minutes and hours in one subdial; it features a flyback function as well as a second timezone.

But the biggest addition is the bezel, which displays 24 different time zones and is connected to the watch’s movement. This makes it the first watch ever with a time zone that can be set with a turn of the bezel. It’s an innovative yet simple solution to fiddling with a crown on a traditional travel watch — a godsend to frequent fliers.
