Rolex Daytona Cosmograph

Adding a few small touches to Rolex’s stainless steel Daytona made it one of the most sought-after watches of the year.

It’s the watch that Rolex fanatics have been begging for: the latest iteration of the steel Rolex Daytona. The watch made a bang in the horological world thanks first of all to its new look, led by a black ceramic dial. That might sound like a small change, but in conjunction with other details like a white dial with black surrounds on the subdial and red “DAYTONA” lettering, it culminates in a watch that nods tastefully to a black-bezeled reference from 1965.

Rolex also upped the accuracy of the chronograph movement to +2/-2 seconds per day — twice the accuracy required for a COSC certification. It’s a nearly flawless execution of one of the most sought-after watch models in the industry. Of course, the waiting list is two to five years long, so get in line.
