Xiaomi caused waves — especially within the iPhone, Galaxy and Pixel fanbases — when it announced the Mi Mix. Why? Because the new smartphone has the highest screen-to-body ratio (91.3 percent) of any smartphone. It’s like the infinity pool of touchscreens, which, in fact, makes the phone’s 6.4-inch 1080p LCD display look even bigger than it is.
But it’s not all just good looks. The Mi Mix is just as powerful as the Pixel, rocking the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor, with a battery that dwarfs the iPhone 7’s (4,400mAh compared with 1,960mAh). Frankly, it’s a smartphone that looks and feels different from anything else. And it’s $100 less expensive than its iPhone and Pixel competitors. The only catch: Because of the large screen, the Mi Mix front camera is at the bottom, which will take some selfie re-training.
