The problem with the current state of music festivals these days is that it’s more about being seen then who you’re seeing. But gear is still key: sunscreen, shades and comfortable shoes should be your creed. A short-sleeve t-shirt for the early sets and a button-up for the headliners. Don’t be ridiculous with sandals; your toes need cover for day-long walking. Bring a portable charger for your phone — between the documenting and locating your friends, your phone will need some extra juice. And a light rain jacket comes in handy more often then you think. Oh, and if we catch you with a selfie stick, you’ve earned fifty lashings.
