We’re looking for both full-time and part-time writers to help us build the definitive resource for discovering what’s new, what’s coming and what matters in the world of products.
Like all Gear Patrol team members, the ideal candidate should be passionate about product culture and serving our growing audience of smart, discerning readers.
Responsibilities
- Pitch and write original stories that position Gear Patrol as a leading voice in product journalism
- Produce original photography, videos and audio segments as part of a multimedia approach to coverage
- Obsessively monitor information resources, such as forums and social media, for new story ideas
- Grow and manage a rolodex of PR contacts and industry sources
- Serve as an ambassador for the company while regularly attending press trips, trade shows and topic relevant PR events locally and abroad
Minimum Requirements
- A passion for products in categories such as Cars, Watches, Outdoors and Men’s Fashion
- A strong knowledge of grammar and writing fundamentals
- Experience and/or a strong interest in writing, ideally in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- An interest in photography and/or videography
- Must be a US Citizen
Available Locations
- Applicants seeking full-time roles must live in NY, CA, WA, TX, CT, CO, NJ, OR
- Contract and freelance contributors must live in the continental US
